Turkmen president to hold talks in Yerevan
ASHGABAT. Nov 23
Several bilateral documents are expected to be signed during Turkmen
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow's official visit to Armenia on
November 29-30.
Preparations for the visit were discussed at the Turkmen government's
session, which was broadcast live by local television stations.
Bilateral negotiations at the highest level will be held in Yerevan,
Turkmenistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Rashid
Meredov said.
Berdimuhamedow, for his part, gave high marks to Turkmen-Armenian
relations, which "have always been constructive and fruitful."
"Turkmen-Armenian cooperation has vast potential, which creates
favorable prospects for the step-by-step development of their
traditional partnership in all areas, including trade, the economy,
humanitarian affairs and culture, where there is every chance to
further increase effective cooperation," the president said.
