Armenia has export potential and to use it a certain policy of Armenian
brands promotion in abroad is required. British Ambassador to Armenia
Kathy Leach made such statement Tuesday, when commenting on Armenia's
export opportunities. Brandy could become one of the key export goods,
she said. Although the Armenian brandy is the favorite drink of Winston
Churchill, it is little known outside the CIS, the Ambassador said.
In this light, Ambassador Leach said that the Union of Brandy Makers
can make the Armenian brandy more known in abroad, specifically in
Europe, if it makes certain efforts.
To recall, a British delegation of 8 businessmen engaged in IT,
jewelry, construction, telecommunications, science and education
fields arrived in Armenia on a two-day visit. The delegation comprises
representatives of such leading British companies as Mott MacDonald,
Tensar International, RSK, Education and Training International,
Computaris International Ltd, Met Office, and Pagefield Communications.
