PanARMENIAN.Net - Ramil Safarov case undermines the negotiation
process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and poses a threat to regional
stability, Armenian Foreign Minister said.
As Edward Nalbandian noted during 67th session of the United Nations
General Assembly, the Azerbaijani criminal murdered an Armenian
officer in sleep out of the latter's nationality.
"Azerbaijani leadership gave Safarov a hero's welcome. Moreover,
it set him a role model for the young," Minister Nalbandian said.
"Safarov's case is detrimental to Nagorno Karabakh process," he said,
expressing deep concerns over the escalating tensions in Syria.
In this context, Minister Nalbandian stressed the impossibility of
reaching a lasting agreement without termination of hostilities and
large-scale political dialogue.
