RUSSIAN EXPERT: GEORGIANS DO NOT TRUST ANY MORE IN UNBRIDLED ANTI-RUSSIAN PROPAGANDA

    ARMINFO
    Tuesday, October 2, 15:08

The Georgians do not trust any more in the unbridled anti-Russian
propaganda, as major part of Georgia's citizens are for the relations
with Russia or at least for the beginning of a constructive dialogue,
Russian political expert, Andrey Areshev, told Arminfo correspondent
when commenting on the first results of the parliamentary election
    in Georgia.

"The election held in Georgia are positive for the Georgian society.

Saakashvili's pre-election rhetoric that the Gldan prison video
was allegedly ordered by the Russians, impressed nobody and made a
laughing-stock of the president. This is already evidence of positive
tendencies regarding Russia. The Georgian society understand very
well that the entire complex of problems connected with South Ossetia
and Abkhazia was born just because of nationalistic and pro-American
course of Saakashvili", - he said.

"And now, representatives of the "Georgian wish" say about devotion to
the pro-Western course, at the same time saying about the necessity of
Georgia's entering the Russian market and establishment of diplomatic
relations. This may create a ground for the constructive dialogue for
the benefit of the Russian-Georgian relations as well as for peaceful
and secure development of the Caucasus in general", - the expert said.
