YEREVAN. - Matters related to a prime ministerial candidate likewise
were discussed during the September 28 meeting of the Prosperous
Armenia Party (PAP) administration, Zhamanak daily reports.
"According to some information, PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan told his
fellow party members that 'we must continue criticizing the [serving]
PM's economic policy, since we criticized it over the course of these
months and cannot back from these criticism.'
Also, Gagik Tsarukyan instructed his fellow party members: 'If they
ask who your preferred prime ministerial candidate is, you will answer
[Deputy PM and] Territorial Administration Minister Armen Gevorgyan.'
Of course, PAP Press Secretary Tigran Urikhanyan denied this news,
in an interview with Zhamanak, saying such discussion has not taken
place," Zhamanak writes.
