FATAL MISTAKES WERE REMINDED TO OSKANIAN

The remarks of the Armenian foreign minister at the UN General
Assembly was something ordinary. He called to recognize the genocide,
condemn Azerbaijan and continue peace talks on Karabakh. Meanwhile,
other initiatives had been expected from him.

Instead the former foreign minister of Armenia, Vartan Oskanian
appeared in a scandal, and it is noteworthy that he is charged for
    his diplomatic activities.

Another ex-foreign minister, the leader of the Heritage Party Raffi
Hovannisian, as well as Member of Parliament Nikol Pashinyan of ANC
criticized Vartan Oskanian because during his office the principles
of Madrid of the Karabakh settlement were introduced, just like the
version of exchange of Meghri and Lachin, and Karabakh was left out
    of the talks.

Vartan Oskanian didn't respond to these accusations. He just said
that Meghri and Karvachar are there now. Anyway, nothing was stated
about the principles of Madrid. However, Oskanian stated more than
once that the principles of Madrid were a progress for Armenia,
since the right of Karabakh to self-determination is set there.

The principles of Madrid, thanks God, are dying, but the minister
of foreign affairs Nalbandyan keeps them alive refraining from
a declaration of their uselessness, hence creating obstacles for
    Karabakh's independence.

Nalbandyan will once be reminded about this, like Oskanian is.

Nalbandyan will be accused of not allowing the people of Karabakh to
be recognized thus allowing for a bargain over the territories.

Nalbandyan will be accused of facilitating Armenia's membership to
CSTO and other pro-Russian organizations in order to "soften" break-up
with Russia. By the way, yesterday, another ex-foreign minister,
Alik Arzumanyan of Free Democrats, stated about this. He called not
to ratify the CSTO agreement which bans Armenia from deploying third
country's military bases in its territory without a consensus of the
    CSTO states.

Edward Nalbandyan will be reminded that his minister, which has
rejected the draft law on the recognition of NKR for years, does
not hinder the ratification of this agreement which evidently limits
    Armenia's sovereignty.

Domestic and human errors of political figures may be forgotten
and even forgiven, while mistakes in the foreign policy will be
    remembered forever.
