Most of the residents of the temporary shacks in Armenia's second
largest city of Gyumri are said to have no males in their families
at all.
According to the local NGO Shirak Center, individual construction
activities in one of the city's districts leave the temporary shelters
under a layer of dust.
"We can note, without hesitation, that the families without men
outnumber the full-member families living in shacks," the NGO says
in a press release.
The organization's representatives visited recently one of the shelters
in the district, where a family of four - a woman with three daughters
- lives in inconsolable conditions. Below is the video featuring the
family's plight.
