YEREVAN, OCTOBER 3, ARMENPRESS: The Embassy of Azerbaijan to
Switzerland sent a note of protest to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
of Switzerland on the occasion of the visit of the Swiss deputies
to the Nagorno Karabakh Republic. As reported by Armenpress, it was
announced by the Head of the Press Department of the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elman Abdullayev to the Azerbaijani
mass media.
He stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland had
confirmed that the Swiss deputies had visited the Nagorno Karabakh
Republic, but "their visit was of private nature".
The Azerbaijani mass media inform that it is not excluded that the
names of the Swiss deputies, who visited Karabakh, appear in the
"blacklist" of the country.
In the current week the delegation of the Switzerland-Armenia friendly
group deputies, headed by Ueli Leuenberger and Dominique de Buman,
visited the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, and held meetings with the
highest authorities of Artsakh.
