President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko plans to bring Georgia back
to the CIS, Russian vz.ru reports.
"I think next year the CIS summit will more probably take place in
Minsk, that is why I will do everything to return Georgia back to
the CIS," Lukashenko told Mir TV.
Lukashenko stressed that "it will not be a great workload for Georgian
political figures." "I am convinced that even if Saakashvili's party
won in the poll next year Georgia would have become CIS member,"
Belarusian president said.
Georgia joint the CIS in late 1993 and pulled out in 2008 after
Russian-Georgian war.
