Head of the Heritage parliamentary group Rubik Hakobyan thinks the
stripping of MPs of immunity has an interesting regularity.
The authorities deprive the oppositional members of parliament of
immunity before or after the presidential elections. As a rule,
exceptionally oppositional members are stripped of immunity, said
Hakobyan during the parliamentary hearings.
Rubik Hakobyan says that it is impossible not to see that Oskanian's
case was of political nature. If law enforcers could wait for two
years, why they didn't wait for another five months to launch the
proceedings after the presidential elections, wonders Hakobyan. He
added that what happened is directed only against Vartan Oskanian and
not PAP. Each member of parliament is a potential Vartan Oskanian. We
are all potential Vartan Oskanian.
