ARMENIA TO PRESENT BIG PACKAGE FOR INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT AT EU DONORS CONFERENCE

JERMUK, OCTOBER 5, ARMENPRESS: Armenia will present a big package
for reforms and infrastructure development at the Donors Conference,
organized by the European Union with the assistance of the World Bank.
As reported by Armenpress, it was stated by the Prime Minister of
the Republic of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan on October 5 at the second
conference of the Rural Communities held in Jermuk.
"We will orient on the programs of water supply, road construction,
gasification, school construction of the communities", - said the
Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. Concerning the school
construction, Tigran Sargsyan stated that 300 out of 1400 schools of
the republic needed to be capitally repaired and the state managed
to provide the financing for the repairs only for annually 59 schools.
"We will do anything to attract large-scale financing for that
direction", - reported the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
The works of the organization of the EU Donors Conference are
currently in process. At the meeting with the President of the
Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, held in September, the EU Special
Representative for the South Caucasus and Georgia Crisis Philippe
Lefort announced that works of the organization of the EU Donors
Conference for Armenia were being carried out with the participation
of the representatives of the international financial structures.
