Prosperous Armenia party leader Gagik Tsarukyan will return to Armenia
today or tomorrow, spokesperson for the party's leader Iveta Tonoyan
told Tert.am, not though elaborating on where Tsarukyan is.
"As far as the circle of his activity varies, I cannot separately
enumerate the countries and goals of his visit. He will return either
today or tomorrow," Tonoyan said.
The spokesperson also refuted the media information about the Friday
meeting between Tsarukyan and President Serzh Sargsyan.
Asked about the format of participation of the party in the coming
presidential elections, Tonoyan said, "The party has many times stated
that after the final decision is made the party will voice about it.
The public will learn about the party's further activities."
The departure of PAP leader coincided with the hearings of the
motion on depriving PAP MP, ex-Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian of
parliamentary immunity. Commenting on it, party leader's spokesperson
said before the departure PAP faction sitting was convened which
thoroughly discussed the Prosecutor's General motion to deprive
Oskanian of parliamentary immunity and described the forwarded
accusations as 'groundless.'
"Gagik Tsarukyan has personally expressed his sympathies and support
to Vartan Oskanian. So neither faction, nor Gagik Tsarukyan has lack
of trust toward Oskanian," the spokesperson stressed.
