Czech Republic is ready to deepen defence relations with Armenia

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 5, ARMENPRESS: Armenian Minister of Defense Seyran
Ohanyan hosted Charge d'Affaires of the Czech Republic in the Republic
of Armenia Petr Mikyska on October 5. As Armenpress was informed from
the informational and public relations department of Armenian Ministry
of Defense, the Minister congratulated Petr Mikyska on his appointment
and noted that Armenian Ministry of Defense highly evaluated the
cooperation of Armenian and Czech Republics in the defence sphere,
hoping that bilateral cooperation would get a new impetus after
founding Armenian and Czech Embassies.
Mr Mikyska reported the willing of Czech Republic to cooperate with
Armenia and noted that the bilateral cooperation with Armenia in
different spheres was highly evaluated by Czech Republic.
Interlocutors have referred to the regional security issue. Mr Mikyska
was mainly interested in `Interaction 2012' military exercises which
took place on September.
Seyran Ohanyan underlined that military exercises held in Armenia have
been always conducted in an open and transparent atmosphere. Different
regional issues have been discussed during the meeting.
