ANASTASIA VOLOCHKOVA LOVES HOSPITABLE ARMENIA

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 8, ARMENPRESS. "New Centaury" concert show program
by Russian ballet star Anastasia Volochkova will be held on October
17 in Aram Khachatryan concert hall. One of the best ballet dancers of
Russian Marinian, English National and Yuri Grigorovich ballet theatres
will appear before Armenian audiance in an extraordinary "dramatic role
character" representing a new performance, where she will be dancing,
singing and just amazing Armenian audience. In a conversation with
"Armenpress" reporter Honored Artist of Russian Federation shared her
insights about the comming concert and activity in choreographic art.
- You will represent Your "New Centaury" show to Armenian audience
on October 17. How did the idea of the concert occure to You?
It has been a long time since my last visit to Yerevan and my
previous concert show was based on a classic foundation. I am bound to
Yerevan with a greate human freindship. Large number of my freinds are
representatives of Armenian community of Russia, Wonderful composer Ara
Gevorgyan is also a freind of mine, he composed melody specially for
me, that became dance music for my "Golden Cage" dancing program. This
dancing performance was awarded with a storm of applause. My name
also seems to be a link between Armenia and Russia - "Anastasia,
that is Armenia and Russia". I am not indifferent to your country,
that's why I have a great wish to represent my new concert show. I
myself initiated the upcomming concert, I found one of the best concert
organizers and we decided to organize the concert on a tight timetable.
- Can we suppose, that title of the of the concert "New Centaury"
signifies a new word and style in ballet.
I am a classic ballet dancer and my activity in ballet has a classical
orientation. While working in classic performances I was searching for
a new format and dreaming of creating such a show, that can attract
mass audience. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to attract modern
audience by classic ballet not only in provinces, but in Moscow and
St. Petersburg theatres too. For that reason a new program was in a
process of arrangement, that will be represented to Armenian audience.
