The secretary of the opposition Heritage party has addressed the
public fuss over plans for screening the Serbian gay rights film at
the Yerevan Puppet Theatre.
In a Facebook post, Hovsep Khurshudyan characterizes the excitement
as a kind of undue peevishness by a group of people pretending to be
moralists or saviors of the nation.
"Again someone faced the urgent need to divert the society from real
problems, and so they began ... And they made such an advertisement
that made me watch [the movie] from start to end," the politician says.
After watching The Parade, Khurshudyan recommends the opponents not
to worry too much.
"You can very easily go and watch the film; that will not definitely
change or sexual orientation (unless you want to at the bottom of
your heart)," he adds.
