An Armenian movie will be shown at the Louvre Museum for the first
time.
Harutyun Khachatryan's film entitled "Border" will be screened at the
Museum on Sunday and it will be presented by world-renowned Iranian
film director, Abbas Kiarostami.
"Harutyun Khachatryan has succeeded in bringing a new hero to the
movies in a very unusual way. I have never seen anything like this
anywhere anymore. There is a buffalo in front of you and by looking
at it you understand that it, too, has consciousness and emotions. In
Khachatryan's film we see a buffalo that is more human [than many
real humans]. How could such film not make an impression on me and
not change my inner world?", Abbas Kiarostami specifically wrote in
the Louvre's official website and with respect to "Border."
To note, Harutyun Khachatryan's "Border" is the only Armenian film
to win close to fifteen international awards.
