THE SITUATION IN ARMENIAN POPULATED ALEPPO IS QUIET IN THE LAST TWO DAYS: JIRAYR REISYAN

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 9, ARMENPRESS: The situation in Aleppo on October 8
and current morning is rather quiet; no alarming incidents have been
registered. Jirayr Reisyan Aleppo National Primacy press secretary
estimates the situation in the second largest city- Aleppo stable,
Armenpress reports. In the words of the interlocutor there are
clashes in the outskirts of the city, yet there are no shots heard in
the central parts of the city, as well as in Christian and Armenian
districts, the situation seems to be improving. Armenian nursing home
building located in Bustan Basha district was damaged and guided by
security reasons was moved to a safer place. Dwelling on the opening
of Armenian schools press secretary stated schools are ready and may
accept the pupils, yet for the security of the children they are not
operating yet.
Capital Damascus is also relatively calm. The clashes from time to
time are orchestrated in the outskirt. More than 30 thousand people
were killed in the course of 18 months ongoing clashes in Syria,
including more than three dozens of Syrian Armenians.
