THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF ESTABLISHMENT OF RELATIONS WITH ARMENIA WAS CELEBRATED IN ATHENS

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 11, ARMENPRESS. Solemn reception was held by Embassy
of the Republic of Armenia in Greece dedicated to the 21st anniversary
of the independence of the Republic of Armenia and the 20th anniversary
of establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Greece.
As Department of Information and Public Relations of Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia informed "Armenpress",
opening remarks were made by the ambassador of the Republic of Armenia
in Greece Gagik Ghalachyan, who briefly represented acquirement
and success of the last years of bilateral relations stressing
the importance of their consolidation. In his speech Ambassador
Ghalachyan mentioned the important role of the Armenian community in
the development in different spheres of cooperation.
Representatives of legislative and executive branches of Greek
authorities, international, cultural and public organizations, science,
culture and arts, military officers of high ranks, businessmen,
journalists, heads of diplomatic missions and diplomats, Greek-Armenian
community including representatives of communal organizations were
present at the reception.
