Azerbaijani Mass Media misquoted the statement by Ambassador Andrzej
Kasprzyk, the Personal Representative of the Chairperson- in-Office
on the conflict dealt with by the OSCE Minsk Conference, regarding
the Stepanakert airport's opening. Ambassador Kasprzyk declared in
response to the question of the Armenian Public Television. He said
that Azerbaijani Mass Media disseminated contradictory statement on
his behalf.
To recall, Azerbaijani APA agency reported that Andrzej Kasprzyk
allegedly told journalists that "the airport of Stepanakert is
located on the sovereign territory of Azerbaijan. Much depends on the
position of Azerbaijan in the given issue. Anyway, without preliminary
consent opening of the airport will not improve the conditions of
the negotiation process.
