American Jewish Congress thanked Azerbaijani government

Azerbaijani Ambassador to U.S. Elin Suleymanov met with members of
the management representatives of Houston American Jewish Congress
(AJC) during a visit to Texas, the embassy said on Saturday.
During the meeting, Suleymanov spoke about bilateral relations between
Azerbaijan and Israel. The diplomat noted that Azerbaijan meets 40
percent of Israel's energy needs, and that it pays special attention
to the security of the Israeli Embassy, ??along with the embassies of
other countries.
Suleymanov also noted that Jewish community, historically, residing in
Azerbaijan, is actively involved in all areas of public life, and
stressed that, according to the religious books of Muslims and Jews,
these confessions are close to each other and share common values.
The Ambassador said that Azerbaijan is called "a model of tolerance"
and said that the authorities are paying special attention to the
promotion of the ethnic and religious diversity.
AJC representatives expressed their gratitude to the Azerbaijani
government for a firm stand against all forms of terrorism and
radicalism. They noted the need to educate the American public about
the image of Azerbaijan as a model area of ??intercultural and
interreligious dialogue.
