Armenia's Sambo wrestlers win five medals in one day

YEREVAN. - Five of Armenia's seven Sambo wrestlers, who competed on
the first day of the World Youth and Junior Sambo Championships 2012,
which is underway in the Bulgarian capital city Sofia, have achieved
medals.
Minas Madoyan (75 kg) and Lendrush Zatikyan (48) won bronze medals
while Roza Khachatryan (52 kg), Jivan Ghazaryan (48 kg), and Hovhannes
Aleksanyan (60 kg) made it all the way to the finals in their
respective weight categories, but, in the end, they had to settle for
silver medals.
Seven other Sambo wrestlers from Armenia will compete on Saturday. The
Championships will end on Sunday, the Sambo Federation of Armenia
press service informs.
