The Armenian Genocide should be assessed as it deserves, Armenian President says
Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said today that
the Armenian Genocide should be assessed as it deserves.
The President said this speaking at the summit of the World Armenian
Congress in Yerevan.
"The 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide is drawing nearer. The
crime committed against our people is still to be assessed as it
deserves. It's an all-national objective which you will touch upon
during your sessions, I am sure. The state of Armenia and the civil
society of Armenians across the globe have something to say on this
issue", said Serzh Sargsyan.
"It's not the only issue on the all-national agenda. We defended
Artsakh at war we had been imposed on. Now it's time to fix the
justice on the diplomatic field. Here we also work hand in hand",
noted the President.
Serzh Sargsyan also said that "our Syrian brothers and sisters found
themselves in an extremely tough situation now". "We are next to out
compatriots and will help them with all the possible means", the
Armenian leader concluded. --0--
