SEYRAN OHANYAN RECEIVED DELEGATION HEADED BY ITALIAN DEFENSE MINISTER

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 17, ARMENPRESS: Seyran Ohanyan, Minister of Defense
of the Republic of Armenia hosted delegation headed by Jiampaolo
Di Paolo, Italian Defense Minister . As Armenpress reports the
heads of the Defense Ministries are discussing Armenian- Italian
bilateral cooperation and regional security issues. An agreement on
the cooperation between Armenian and Italian Republic Governments in
the Defense sphere is scheduled to be launched after the discussions,
ministerial briefing will be followed then.
Serzh Sargsyan, President of the Republic of Armenia hosted Jiampaolo
Di Paolo, Italian Minister of Defense on October 16. President Sargsyan
welcomed the visit of Minister Jampaolo Di Paola and underlined
that Armenia highly evaluated the multilateral relations with Italy,
strengthening of ties in the defense sphere. The Minister of Defense
of Italy has stressed that he is well aware of Armenian history
and culture from the valuable works kept in St. Lazarus Island in
Venice. The delegation headed by Jiampaolo Di Paolo, Italian Republic
Defense Minister is in a three-day visit to Armenia.
