ARMAVIA CLAIMS FLIGHTS' SUSPENSION AGREED WITH NEW SHAREHOLDER

Armavia airline claims suspension of its flights by Zvartnots airport
is agreed with the new shareholder the airline will soon have. "The
airport probably does not like it," Armavia's representative said
speaking to Tert.am.
The company's official claimed they were paying the necessary sum to
the airport every day.
Spokesman for Armenia International Airports company Gevorg Abrahamyan
said the reason of suspension is the airline's debt amounting to
almost 1 million USD. Abrahamyan said they do not know when and in
what condition Armavia's flights will be resumed.
Gevorg Abrahamyan considered Armavia's claims groundless, saying that
the daily payments were either incomplete or were not even made at all,
"as a result their debt amounted to 1 million USD."
Armavia claims with that step the airport harms the passengers,
the airline, and the airport itself.
"The company thinking about passengers would have implemented its
commitments on time. We have warned them many times and were forced
to do it," Gevorg Abrahamyan said.
