SERZH SARGSYAN AND ERIC RUBIN HIGHLY EVALUATED THE CURRENT LEVEL OF ARMENIAN- AMERICAN RELATIONS

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 18, ARMENPRESS: Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan
hosted USA Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of European and
Eurasian Affairs Eric Rubin. As Armenpress was informed from the
presidential press office, during the meeting interlocutors highly
evaluated the current level of Armenian-American relations, underlining
that the 20 years lasting diplomatic relations have developed in
a trustful atmosphere. The investment of Armenian community in the
strengthening of the relations was also highly evaluated.
Eric Rubin has noted that during last 20 years he has had an honor
to work for the development of Armenian-American relations and that
he is well aware of the great development of the relations after the
Armenian Independence.
"Armenia which you have built today is extremely different from the
Armenia that left Soviet Union 20 years ago. But at the same time,
there are challenges and I agree with You Mr. President we can cope
with these challenges and find solutions if we work together" said
Eric Rubin.
USA Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of European and Eurasian
Affairs Eric Rubin presented to President Sargsyan the results of
the session on Economic Cooperation of the Armenian-American working
group which took place in Yerevan.
Interlocutors referred to the peaceful settlement of NKR conflict,
as well as the regional security issues.
