Wednesday by Sergei Stepashin, Chairman of the Audit Chamber of the
Russian Federation (ACRF), and Ishkhan Zakaryan, Head of the Control
Chamber of Armenia (CCA).
"The results of a check-up of the use of State resources allocated
for regulation of food quality and ensurance of the safety of food
produce during its import and export" will be among the main subjects
of discussion at a session of the ACRF and the CCA Boards, to be
co-chaired by Stepashin and Zakaryan. Reports on the subject are
to be made by representatives of the monitoring agencies of Russia
and Armenia.
An ACRF delegation, led by Stepahisn, arrived here on Tuesday to attend
the session . During a meeting with Armenian President Serge Sargsyan
later on Tuesday, Stepashin expressed hope that the joint session in
Yerevan would contribute to giving greater scope to cooperation and
to strengthening relations.
Stepashin pointed out, "The top monitoring agencies of the RF and
Armenia have been cooperating in recent years fruitfully enough
and maintaining active contacts". "Our relations grow stronger from
year to year on the basis of the signed cooperation programmes and
documents about joint probes," he said.
The high-level dialogue between Russia and Armenia promotes the
development of allied relations in all fields, and the deepening
of strategic partnership between the two friendly countries, the
interlocutors pointed out. Sargsyan highly appreciated Stepashin's
personal contribution to the development of Russo-Armenian relations.
He also emphasized the importance of interaction between the ACRF
