THE ARMENIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH TAKES PART IN THE WORLD COUNCIL OF CHURCHES
PRE-ASSEMBLY ORTHODOX MEETING
11-17 October 2012, the WCC Pre-assembly meeting of the Orthodox churches
was held on Kos island, Greece. 40 clergy, laymen and laywomen represented
the Orthodox Member Churches. Bishop Hovaguim Manoukian represented the Holy
See of Etchmiadzin and Ms. Salpy Eskidjian, the Holy See of Cilicia.
The participants discussed the Assembly theme, "God of life, lead us to
justice and peace," and its implications for the ecumenical movement, the
member churches and their commitment to the world.
