ZHOGHOVURD: ON ARMENIAN AUTHORITIES' UTTER CYNICISM

Armenia's authorities are cynical to excess. The ruling regime is
now deriding the people at every step.
On Tuesday, in Armenia's parliament, Minister of Finance Vache
Gabrielyan presented the government's decision to amend Armenia's
law on minimum monthly wages. The government proposes raising the
rate from AMD 32,500 to 35,000. However, the "national salvation"
program failed as prices are universally known to be exponentially
increasing in Armenia.
When the opposition MP asked the minister if people can live on less
that $90 a month with skyrocketing prices in the country, Gabrielyan
said: "Well, many of the goods in the basket of goods can be bought
for 2,500 drams or 7 to 8 percent of the minimum wages."
The newspaper notes that the Serzh Sargsyan regime must have adopted
the "bread and circuses" principle well. On the one hand, they are
"training" people to live on "their crust." On the other hand, they
are organizing cheap shows to entertain the public on every occasion.
