Syrian Airlines delivered the recent planeload of supplies

YEREVAN-A second flight carrying relief supplies for crisis-ravaged
Syria left Armenia on Tuesday evening aboard a Syrian Airlines flight
headed to Aleppo via Iran and Iraq.

This flight is also part of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-led
"Help Your Brother" campaign, which successfully delivered the first
shipment of humanitarian supplies last week.

Chairwoman of the Hamazkayin Cultural Association and ARF member
Lilit Galstyan who is administering this effort said that the current
shipment came it at 45 metric tons of supplies, adding that the
    fundraising efforts were still ongoing.

"I must add that business circles have also actively participated in
our campaign. Few days ago we received 3000 boxes of canned vegetables
from the Proshyan Brandy Factory. An important contribution was
made by the Civilitas Foundation in amount of 3 million drams,"
said Galstian adding that famous artists such as Azat Gasparyan,
Haghtanak Shahumyan, Andranik Harutyunyan had also contributed to the
    "Help Your Brother" effort.

French-Armenian writer Movses Bchakdjian, who is on a book tour in
Armenia, contributed the proceeds of his book sale to the effort.

Other financial contributions came from Dino-Gold Mining Company
(1 million drams) and Avesta Company (100,000 drams).

"We have the moral objective, which unites us. As long as
our Syrian-Armenian brothers and sisters are in need, it is
our responsibility to help them." said Galstian, who added that
Syrian-Armenian families that have settled in Armenia are also slated
to receive assistance from the "Help Your Brother" campaign.
