Azerbaijani, Turkish Historians to Study "Genocide" Committed by
Armenians
Trend (Oct. 24) - "Azerbaijani and Turkish historians will investigate
the facts of the genocide committed by Armenians against Turks and
Azerbaijanis, according to Director of the Institute of History,
National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Yagub Mahmudov"
The article goes on to say that the "commission of historians" was
created in Turkey and that it will present its findings when done.
Baku: Crimes against Humanity Will Not Go Unpunished
TODAY.AZ (Oct. 24) - At a briefing on Wednesday, Azerbaijani Foreign
Ministry spokesman Elma Abdullayev said that "Armenian President
Sargsyan must understand that crimes against humanity will not go
unpunished."
"The individuals who committed these acts will be brought before an
international court," he said. "President Sargsyan's visit to the
territories occupied by Armenia is a violation of all international
rights."
Abdullayev was referring to Sargsyan's trip to Artsakh on October 22.
Turkish Volunteers Ready to Liberate in Karabakh
News.AZ (Oct. 22) - "Tens of Turkish citizens have addressed the
Igdir office of the Azerbaijani general consulate in Kars with the
request to register them as volunteers in the fights for liberation
of the occupied lands of Azerbaijan in case hostilities resume,
Turkish media report."
"By doing so the Turkish community wants to demonstrate its readiness
to be always next to Azerbaijan and help Azerbaijani brothers in
liberation of the occupied lands from Armenian occupiers." The
statement came from Goksel Gulbey, Chairman of the Turkish Society
of the Fight against Unfounded Claims of Armenians.
"We call on Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan not to tolerate our
patience. Let him know that if war starts in Karabakh, thousands of
Turks will come to the help of Azerbaijani brothers", he said.
