NEW AIR DEFENSE UNIT OPENED IN THE SOUTH OF ARMENIA

President Serzh Sargsyan participated today in the opening of an air
defense unit in the south of the country.
"The Armed Forces are called to defend people, but there are divisions
in the Armed Forces, which immediately guarantee the security of
our people. On of them is undoubtedly is the air defense," President
Serzh Sargsyan said.
The President noted that thanks to the brilliant actions of the
Armenian air defense divisions during the Artsakh war, the rival
failed to cause substantial damage to the Armenian side, while our air
defense forces caused considerable damage to the Azerbaijani air force.
According to Serzh Sargsyan, the opening of the unit supplied with all
necessary equipments symbolizes the future of all our military units.
