A SITTING OF COORDINATION COMMITTEE ON ARMENIAN GENOCIDE IN NY

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 25, ARMENPRESS: The first meeting of Coordination
Committee on Armenian Genocide launched in the Eastern American
Diocese of Armenian Apostolic Church, New York on October 23. Leaders
of communities and parties, as well as spiritual leaders participated
in the meeting.
As Armenpress was informed from the press service of Armenian MFA,
during the meeting Tatoul Markarian, Armenian Ambassador to USA,
highly evaluated the fact of the council formation and assured that
it would operate and complete its mission up to par.
The Council is meant to control the organization of the events
dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Armenian Genocide in Eastern
states of the USA. Karen Nazarian, Armenian representative in NA also
delivered a speech.
The Chairman of the Council Khoren Bandazian presented with an
extensive speech and presented vision of the future activates.
Haroutyun Kojoian, the adviser of Armenian Ambassador to USA presented
with some suggestions and comments on the coordinating works.
The next meeting of the committee is scheduled for January, 2013.
