Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and Azeri Foreign
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov plan to meet in France on October 27,
Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesman Tigran Balayan told Interfax.
The meeting will take place via mediation of the co-chairs of the
OSCE Minsk Group for settling the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, he said.
The previous meeting between the two foreign ministers took place in
Paris on July 18.
Some analysts polled by Interfax suggested that negotiations between
Armenia and Azerbaijan stalled after Hungary extradited Azeri officer
Ramil Safarov, who was earlier sentenced to life in Budapest for
killing Armenian officer Gurgen Margarian. Safarov was pardoned
immediately upon his extradition to Azerbaijan.
