LACK OF EMPLOYEES OBSERVED IN VARIOUS ECONOMIC INDUSTRIES OF ARMENIA - PM

YEREVAN. - Lack of employees is observed in various economic industries
of Armenia, and there is structural unemployment, PM of Armenia Tigran
Sargsyan said during the government session on Thursday.
According to him, the field of informational technologies is suffering
most of all and the only obstacle for the rapid developing field is
the issue of proper staff. At the same time, the deputy Minister
of Energy and Natural Resources Levon Shahbazyan claimed that the
Vanadzor Chemical plant cannot start operating due to the lack of
150 employees. The Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan added that the
transportation field requires 300 employees with an average monthly
salary of $200. The PM claimed that the governors also complain that
they cannot hire employees with AMD 5,000 to 7,000 daily salary.
"This is a problem for us, which requires a solution," PM concluded.
