YEREVAN, OCTOBER 27, ARMENPRESS: The victory of democrat running mate
in the USA presidential elections is more advantageous for Armenia.
Politician Levon Shirinyan expressed his opinion during the meeting
with journalists on October 27. According to him the victory of the
republicans will bring to a regional tension. `Unlike the republicans,
democrats do not consider Russia as there geographic rival and they
are not as aggressive towards Iran as the republicans' Armenpress
quoted Shirimyan as saying.
Shirimyan believes that in case of reelection, Obama will try to find
a common ground with Iran, he is also sure that USA is not going
recognize the fact of Armenian Genocide in near future. `USA doesn't
want to lose the lever on Turkey by recognizing the Genocide'
underlined the politician.
The coming presidential elections of the United States of America are
going to be held on November 6, 2012. The main candidates for the post
of Commander-in-Chief are Mitt Romney and Barack Obama.
