Chinese art group "Hansheng" opens concert in Armenia

Chinese art group "Hansheng" held a concert in the Armenian State
Theater of Musical Comedy here on Saturday.
Armenian government officials, including deputy Minister of Culture
Arthur Poghosyan and deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey
Manasarian, and Chinese Ambassador to Armenia Tian Changchun attended
the concert, which is part of a bilateral cultural exchange program
called The Days of Chinese Culture.
The Chinese group performed Chinese songs accompanied by traditional
Chinese musical instruments as well as traditional dances.
"The event was organized at a very high level. It means a lot for the
Armenian society in case of getting acknowledged with Chinese art.
China is a country of old and rich culture. It was a great please to
be at this performance," said Eduard Hovsepyan, a spectator.
The group "Hansheng" will have two other concerts on October 28 in
Gyumri, the second largest city of Armenia, and on October 30 again in
Yerevan. The Days of Chinese Culture will last till October 31. Also,
an art exhibition will be opened at National Art Gallery on October
30.
The Days of Armenian Culture series were held in China last year,
following an agreement between Armenian and Chinese culture
ministries.
