According to the Azeri Press Agency, spokesman for the Foreign Ministry
of Azerbaijan Elman Abdullayev said that the government of Armenia
"was trying to deceive its people on the eve of the presidential
election by giving them false information about the recent New South
Wales resolution on Karabakh.
They attempt to persuade the Armenian people that Australia has
recognized the independence of the occupied territories. Australia has
officially stated several times that it fully supports the territorial
integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan. Moreover, the Australian
government has urged its citizens not to visit the Azerbaijani
territories occupied by Armenia", the diplomat Abdullayev stressed.
