THE GOVERNMENT OF TURKEY IS INDIFFERENT TOWARDS THE DESTRUCTION OF THE ARMENIAN CEMETERY
YEREVAN, OCTOBER 30, ARMENPRESS. The Turkish Government does not
care about the destruction of the Armenian cemetery and it has no
value for the Turkish culture and the Ministry of Tourism. As reports
"Armenpress" Turkish website Aykiridogrular states, that after several
months after the publication of the news regarding the destruction
of the Armenian cemetery for the construction of the new road in the
region of Erouh of Siirty (Sghert) State the Ministry said that the
Armenian cemetery "has no value for the preservation and the Ministry
does not care about its destruction."
Several months ago the Turkish website mentioned that during the
construction the builders ruined the Armenian cemetery and dispersed
the human bones in the surrounding.
Many cases of this kind are known in Turkey, when the criminal
indifference of the Government of Turkey caused the distraction of
many Armenian cemeteries and monuments and schools, hospitals, roads
and sport complex have been built instead of them.
