A 17-year old Anna lives with her grandmother in a dilapidated house
in one of districts of Gyumri - Dzori Tagh - Shirak Centre reports
in a press release.
The girl is deprived of the right to get apartment. She was just
7 years old when she lost both her parents. Their small house was
ruined as a result of the disastrous earthquake. They are living in
a small house of their neighbor who has emigrated abroad.
This family has not been registered to get apartment compensation
from the state. "Even if they were registered they would not have got
an apartment at this stage as according to the government's order,
those who have lost houses in urban areas, including in Gyumri,
are not being compensated. Of course, it is an absolute nonsense. A
person has lost a house, it does not matter whether it was a house
or an apartment," the centre's press release says.
