    The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Edvard Nalbandian and
    Elmar Mamedyarov, held talks in Paris on Saturday with the mediation of
    cochairman of the OSCE Minsk Group for the settlement of the Nagorno
    Karabakh conflict.

    At the meeting the cochairmen pointed to the importance of reducing
    tension between the conflicting sides, Interfax was told at the
    Armenian Foreign Ministry press service on Sunday.

    "As a working proposal the mediators put forward their ideas with
    the purpose of promoting the process of the peaceful settlement of
    the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. The foreign ministers confirmed their
    readiness to continue joint work with the mediators to achieve a
    peaceful settlement. The ministers and mediators agreed to continue
    their discussion during the upcoming tour of the region by the
    cochairmen in November," the Foreign Ministry said.
