YEREVAN.- Over 37,000 first graders will go to school in Armenia
this September, a representative of Armenia's Education and Science
Ministry told reporters on Friday.
Narine Hovhannisyan said the final data will be available after
September 5.
"The number of first graders will vary from 37.5 and 38 thousand,"
she added.
Hovhannisyan said all elementary school textbooks, including the ones
of foreign languages, will be provided free of charge.
About 10,000 first graders will go to school in capital Yerevan.
