On 18 June 2010 the Azerbaijani soldier Mubariz Ibrahimov attacked
the Armenian sentry, killed four and wounded four Armenian soldiers.
Ibrahimov was killed, and the Armenian side did not return and pick
up his body for a long time.
The Azerbaijani authorities did everything they could to return the
body of Ibrahimov, already a National Hero. Even their Sheik-ul-Islam
Pashazadeh sent a letter to the Patriarch of Russia.
Besides, on those days the Russian side held another three-party
meeting and finally reached an agreement on exchange of POWs and
bodies. In fact, the meeting was held to help Azerbaijan get back the
body of Ibrahimov. For the sake of this body an Armenian shepherd,
Manvel Saribekyan, was kidnapped and killed to turn to the Russian
czar.
For the sake of Mubariz Ibrahimov's body Aliyev agreed to contact
Karabakh directly even though it avoids direct contact with it.
Karabakh returned to Azerbaijan the bodies of Mubariz Ibrahimov and
Farid Ahmedov. At the same time, the body of NKR citizen Gavrush
Arustamyan was returned to NKR.
Now Ramil Safarov is back to Azerbaijan, safe and sound. Russia helped
with this. And who helped free Safarov?
