Yerevan/Mediamax/. The Ministry of Defense of Armenia made a decision
today to suspend the participation of its officers in English military
terminology training program in the Foreign Language School at the
    National Defense Academy of Hungary.

The center has conducted English language courses for officers of
NATO member and partner states since 2000.

On 19 February 2004, Azerbaijani officer Ramil Safarov brutally killed
Armenian officer Gurgen Margaryan in the hostel of this school. Last
week, the Hungarian authorities transferred Safarov to Azerbaijan,
    where he was pardoned.

After the murder of Gurgen Margaryan, the participation of Armenian
officers in these courses was suspend and resumed only in late 2007.

As Mediamax has learned, the participation of two Armenian officers
in courses which were scheduled to be held in Budapest on September
    17-28 has also been suspended.

Official reports about the suspension of Armenian officers'
participation in given and future courses in Hungary were sent to
the Head of NATO Military Cooperation Department.

The Ministry of Defense of Armenia also decided to stop the mentioned
cooperation with NATO Military Medical Training School in Budapest.
