The extradition of Ramil Safarov to Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani
President Ilham Aliyev's granting a pardon to him caused fair
indignation among Hungarian intellectuals.
On September 2, lecturers of Yerevan State Linguistic University
received a number of letters from Hungarian intellectuals, who are
severely critical of the Hungarian authorities' step and express
their support to the Armenian people.
In their letter, the Executives of Pazmany Peter Catholic University
state that most Hungarians are against the Hungarian government's
decision. Just a few hours ago, the Archbishop of Hungary expressed
his support to the Armenian people. The authors express hope that
problems will be settled and bilateral cooperation will be continued.
