ARMENIANS OF NORWAY HELD A PROTEST ACTION IN FRONT OF THE EMBASSY OF HUNGARY IN OSLO

Armenians of Norway gathered on Monday to hold a protest action in
front of the embassy of Hungary in Norway. Protestors demanded apology
for extradition of Azerbaijani murder Ramil Safarov, who was convicted
of murder and was serving life sentence in Hungary and restoration
of justice. A protest letter was handed to his Excellency Ambassador
Geza Jeszenszky, who assured that it will reach his government.
In the protest letter the gathered demand the Hungarian Ambassador and
his government to take up bold and resolute steps to recover justice.
Copies of the letter have been sent to Mr Jonas Gahr Støre, Minister
of Foreign Affairs of Norway, Mr. Janos Herman, Ambassador and Head
of Delegation of the European Union, Mr. Helge Lund, President and
CEO of Statoil.
Ambassador Jeszenszky agreed to receive two representatives to discuss
protestors' concerns. His Excellency extended his personal sympathies
towards the Armenians and their concerns to the representatives of
the protestors. He expressed his government's disappointment with
Azerbaijan's actions and called it cheating.
