ARMENIA SHOULD GIVE IRON RESPONSE TO HUNGARY - OPINION

The Armenian nation's internal consolidation should be the country's
iron response to Hungary, Azerbaijan and the world, a Republican
lawmaker has said, commenting on the decision to extradite and pardon
    the Azerbaijani axe-killer.

Speaking at the National Assembly's ad hoc session on Wednesday,
Hamlet Harutyunyan of the ruling Republican Party faction in parliament
called for relying on national consolidation as a domestic policy tool.

"National consolidation should be our iron ladle. I call for
addressing the statement text - which is very accurately composed -
to the international organizations, using our national consolidation
domestically," he said, adding that Azerbaijan is going to impose a
    patriotic war on Armenia.

Criticizing Azerbaijan's move to pardon the Azerbaijani army officer,
Ramil Safarov, who was sentenced to life in prison for ax-killing a
sleeping Armenian serviceman in Hungary, Hovhannes Margaryan of the
Rule of Law party faction added, "A jackal can change only its skin
color, but never its type and skin."

He said an Azerbaijani man, who kills a sleeping person with axe,
    cannot be considered a Caucasian.

Margaryan called for the Armenian officials to take a tougher stance on
their demands in international tribunals in order to increase the world
countries' criticism of the Hungarian and Azerbaijani authorities'
decision to return and pardon the violent murderer.

The secretary of the Prosperous Armenia party, Naira Zohrabyan,
said the Azerbaijani authorities' move was quite predictable.

"That Azerbaijan would do everything possible to return its monster
was foreseeable, as the country obviously managed to impact the
world community with its oil dollars and caviar diplomacy," she said,
    addressing Azerbaijan's steps.

Noting that the 21st century is a period of propaganda wars, the PAP
secretary referred to her earlier proposal for increasing foreign
    propaganda expenditures.

"It would be more than ridiculous to declare a patriotism contest
here; I would rather choose another place to speak of how NATO sold
the European justice and the European values," she said, adding that
Armenia should be honest enough to admit that it didn't take adequate
    measures in that direction.
