SYRIAN AIRLINES CONTINUE ALEPPO-YEREVAN FLIGHTS

YEREVAN.-Syrian Airlines Company will carry out Aleppo-Yerevan
flights till the end of October according to current timetable,
Syrian Airlines Yerevan office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
"Throughout deteriorating internal political situation in Syria,
the airline did not stop its flights to Yerevan. Furthermore, all
the tickets for Aleppo-Yerevan flights till the end of October are
sold out," the officer of the company added.
As Yerevan office of Syrian airlines informed, the cost of
Aleppo-Yerevan roundtrip ticket is AMD 145 thousand (about $350) for
economy class passengers, AMD 231 thousand for business class. Flight
lasts 1.5 hours.
Armenian News - NEWS.am earlier reported that Armenian national
carrier Armavia since Sept. 3 had temporarily suspended flights
to Aleppo in order to ensure the safety of its passengers. Press
secretary of Armavia Nana Avetisova reported that this decision was
made, taking into account the threat of so-called "free Syrian army"
and the state of Syrian airspace.
One of the militants declared his intention to attack civilian airports
of Damascus and Aleppo, which allegedly are used by Syrian authorities
for attacking the Syrian armed opposition.
