Azerbaijan will continue negotiations on settling the conflict over
Nagorno-Karabakh, but the OSCE Minsk Group should take efficient
steps to change the status quo, Azeri presidential spokesman Novruz
Mamedov said.
"We will continue negotiations on liberating our lands," Mamedov said
on Lider television channel.
The only and the main precondition for restoring peace and stability in
the region is the withdrawal of Armenian troops from Azeri territory,
and the mediating countries should make efforts to ensure this,
he said.
"If this does not happen, sooner or later, Azerbaijan, as an
independent country, always reserves the right to liberate its lands
according to the relevant UN article," Mamedov said.
