YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS: On September 6 in front of the
Embassy of Hungary in Hague, a protest action took place by the
initiative of the Armenian National Committee to the Netherlands,
which was attended by representatives of the Armenian community. The
Dutch Armenian community held posters with `Shame on you, Hungary',
`Hungarian justice for sale', `Hungary is hungry for oil', `Crime of
hatred has become a heroic act', `I'm a Gurgen Margaryan'. As
Armenpress was informed by the group, the Dutch-Armenian community
handed a letter to the Hungarian ambassador to the Netherlands, which
condemns the decision of the Hungarian government, demanding to take
steps for Azerbaijan to implement the extradition requirements.
Azerbaijani assassin Ramil Safarov, who axe-murdered Armenian officer
Gurgen Margaryan while sleeping, when they were participating in NATO
English Language Courses in Budapest, was sentenced to life
imprisonment without right to be pardoned for 30 years. Armenia held
up the diplomatic relations with Hungary, after Safarov was extradited
to Azerbaijan on August 31 2012 and was pardoned by the President
Aliyev notwithstanding the fact that Azerbaijan promised to continue
the punishment.
