"CONSTITUTIONAL ARTSAKH" MOVEMENT ESTABLISHED

Yerevan/Mediamax/. The session of the initiative group of
Constitutional Artsakh" civil movement was held in Shushi September 9.
Among the initiators of the movement are: former NKR presidential
candidate, member of the parliament Vitally Balasanyan, former NKR
Deputy Foreign Minister, head of the Public Council for Foreign
Policy and Security Masis Mailyan, head of Stepanakert Press Club
Gegham Baghdasaryan and member of the NKR parliament Vahan Badasyan.
The statement issued by the group reads that "despite the fact
that according to the Constitution power in the Republic of Artsakh
belongs to people, the current ruling circles strive to establish and
improve the anti-constitutional system which deprives the public of any
possibility to elect authorities and provides continuous reproduction
of power."
The statement also says that the new civic movement "is strongly
focused to improve the spiritual and political life and create
necessary conditions for the formation of authorities through legal
elections."
